I have discussed this issue on Discord server, while few contributors here agreed with my idea. However, they recommend me to discuss this on the forum. I propose the title as Tag Group:Firearms and Explosives
, apologies for my grammatical and wording mistakes here.
Feels like there tag group for weapon tags should be separated into two
Here are some good reasons:
- Feels like the List of Weapons is not regularly updated due to lack of comprehensive formatting, and sheer amount of capitalization mistake I saw there.
- The metawiki seems too broad, and will be extremely long to maintain and read comfortably - as firearm weapon tags do make up more than 50% of the wiki page content.
- For similar reason why List of Tagged Songs was separated into several tag groups like List of Vocaloid Songs or List of Songs by Deco27.
- There should be a tag group that can gather all tags that describe gun accessories, designs, traits and their related actions, e.g. bolt action, muzzle device, magazine (weapon), open cylinder (revolver), bad gun anatomy, shooting range and gunshot wound. While List of Weapons is considered too broad, and seems the title only cover weapon types and titles.
I will wait for permission and agreement from the community, especially administration team before proceeding. However, I would like to ask some questions regarding this topic here:
- Do you think bombs and explosives or heavier non-handheld weaponries (e.g. missile) should be included on the new tag group, or should stay on the older List of Weapons
- If the earlier List of Weapons metawiki is left cleaned up exclusively for non-gun weapons, what name would be more appropriate to it?
- Should fictional firearms be included too? I would say yes.
- Does anybody else have better alternative name for my proposed metawiki?
Here is the preview on my proposed metawiki. Of course, it is not complete yet. You can see it on Testbooru, while you can see an absolutely enormous list below. I considered using table of contents. Thank you for your suggestions and attention.

This is the list of tagged, recognizable models of guns and explosives on Danbooru. For non-firearm weapons, see List of Weapons.
