How do I tag this?

Posted under Tags

Hello. post #8529519

I need some real philosophers here. I've been wanting to post more of this artist's work on here, but a lot of them follow a path that I'm not quite sure how to tag. I want to know if I can tag this as animalization or if I should just stick to tagging these as "pet" instead.. Because this artists works distinctly treat these creatures as animals and not necessarily a kemonomimi type situation. Would I still tag it as kemonomimi mode? I don't know... I want to know what I should tag these creatures physically as so I can efficiently tag the things this artist draws.

Also, I wanna know if I did the character tags right? I tagged Hello Kitty and Pochacco since it seems more like a fusion thing than a cosplay situation, but is that wrong?

It's a fusion, yeah. Top half of one character with the bottom half of another. It's not an animal though, so it's not pet or animalization. If it's anything along those lines, it'd be furrification, but I don't think that applies either since the top half is completely human.

I don't think it's any closer to furrification.
What i think @gunupmyskirt means is along the lines of how what is normally a human character acting human, is chibi-fied then framed in the art as a tiny "pet" you could play with and carry in your hands, more like one of those tiny friendly creatures you sometimes see in anime?
And if i got it right, then we don't have any tag for this concept that i'm aware of; I added chibi to the tags at least, but i think we still need a new tag

The wiki definition for pet is "Either tame animal or a character that is being treated like one", so that's why I used that tag given that they aren't fully animalized but are definitely being portrayed as household pets.

This is exactly what I mean. This artist treats the Sanrio versions and plushie versions of these characters like pets. I don't know if having a tag for turning human characters into animal-like pets would be very useful in general, but it'd definitely help for this artist's work in particular.
