I keep deleting the guy nonsensical Vietnamese, but that guy keep popping out all over the place. Seems like he just created his account yesterday too.
I know Vietnamese, even thought i'm not a vietnamese, and whatever language that dude keep putting into the notes is NOT Vietnamese! He didn't even get a word right, even with the English translation right above his shits.
That's definitely not ignoring, he's purposely messing around!
Looking at Moonspeaker's account, it says he has 135,671 note changes in 1,000,000 posts. I know he's a wizard, but that seems a bit off.
EDIT: Apparently it got fixed.

1 million is the number it defaults to whenever a query times out. If you ever see that number anywhere on the site it's safe to assume that it's incorrect and the query was just too slow.

Notification of new posts on the forum stays up regardless of actual status, the only way to fix it is to use the "Mark all as read" link.
Budoka Azathoth and myself had reported the same bug (?) since the spring. As far as I can tell, the problem has been solved. With regard to my personal user experience, this is the best fix ever to Danbooru 2. Thank you so much!
While I am at it: A handful of neat new features have been brought to life in the meantime, and I have already noticed myself taking them for granted. Thanks to all you guys out there working hard, keeping this site running and developing it! <3

Nope the bug isn't fixed yet unfortunately

Oh you might be thinking of the NEW indicator next to each individual thread. That was fixed. The bug that's still not fixed is the italicized forum activity indicator for all threads (this was broken as a result of fixing the first thing)

So this just happened, utterly breaking the find artist function for all new pixiv posts. Fan-fucking-tastic.
Edit: Manga uploads are still using the old URL format, but that probably won't last for long.

Well, luckily illust id is still intact (46164987), so it is possible to fix source links redirect. Artist finder, however, would be more tough to fix, as it now requires additional query and parsing... However, once we will have this, it's possible to do it for seiga, twitpic, twitter etc.

Worse than that. The urls no longer ensure artist credit. They are completely anonymous. I don't like it, beyond the fact it's a nusence.
Incidentally, fixing Find Artist is technically already done for Danbooru. A failsafe is built in to the Fetch Source Data. It just needs altered to then find the Danbooru tag.

I completely agree. Granting credit where credit is due is very important, and making that more complicated is a rather blunt thing to do.
