The old-style URLs seem to work for the new images when you create them manually--the title links from the Direct Links script still work if you're on Firefox (or have GM_xmlhttpRequest available).
Old thumbnails do not match the new thumbnails.
New URLs don't indicate a revision by appending "?#########" but rather by just changing the date in the URL itself. The URL using the original upload date/time didn't work for the image I checked.

Pixiv is now using: http: //i[1 (if the illustID is even) or 2 (if the illustID is odd)].pixiv.net/img-original/img/[year]/[month]/[day]/[hour]/[minute]/[second]/[illustration ID]_p0.[image type]
The only usable part of the new format is the image number. Pixiv still seems to be using the old system for all old images and new images submitted in a group, making the "_p0" that's added unnecessary.

Are full-sized pictures loading extremely slow for anyone else? My internet is quite good, and everything loads in the blink of an eye, even the Danbooru website itself with thumbnails and all. Changing pages from a search is fast, as is any sort of navigation on the site... but when I try to load any full-sized image on Danbooru, the image loads like I'm using '90s-style 56k. If I click a source link, the full-sized source picture loads fast, while the Danbooru image continues to chug along slowly.
I'm using 64-bit Chrome if that means anything.
Vid-szhite/richie, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one, I thought something seriously wrong with my network or computer was the cause, but now I think there is something wrong with the site rather than anything on my end. Well the only thing I can think of now is waiting. Might be a server problem for all we know...but hey these things usually get fixed.

This has been annoying me for the last while too. I've had to browse through an artist's old works to find a URL in the old URL format, do the usual artist search on Danbooru, and then replace the URL with the image I want to upload. Also, there's the chance of artist searches resulting in the wrong artist being found. For instance, I was uploading post #1805857 and the artist found was dead-robot, which obviously wasn't right. I had to do the above-mentioned fiddling around to get roura as the right artist.

Pixiv is currently redirecting http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=big&illust_id=46203714 back to http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=46203714. I'm guessing the URL changeover caused problems with full size images so they've temporarily disabled them.

There are bandwidth usage charts for Danbooru's servers at http://danbooru.donmai.us/static/mrtg. It looks like there was a small peak in usage around that time, but nothing near full capacity. Weird.
As I'm not very tech-savvy and this whole new Pixiv linking business is confusing the hell out of me, I would like to use post #1805861 as my example for this question.
How do I redirect the Source link so it goes to the image page as usual instead of just the image itself without affecting the Danbooru upload itself? I would have changed the Source to http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=46170063 but I wasn't sure if that would affect the upload or not.

Toks already has a fix for this problem. We're just waiting on albert to deploy the fix to the site. For the time being, just leave it as http://i2.pixiv.net/img-original/img/2014/09/25/00/20/47/46170063_p0.jpg. The redirection will work properly with the new URLs as soon as albert updates the site.
Also, I think RaisingK has a script running that changes new-style URLs (http://i2.pixiv.net/img-original/img/2014/09/25/00/20/47/46170063_p0.jpg) back to the old-style: http://i1.pixiv.net/img41/img/lancefate/46170063.jpg. So if you wait a while his script should find it and fix the source automatically.

Yep, quick and automatic as long as the image isn't bad id or a filesize mismatch at that point.

You need to have referrers pointing back to pixiv for it to work.

Strange, it's still fine for me with full size images loading almost instantly. Tried on both servers in case it's a problem limited to one of them but they're both okay. I wonder what's causing it.

Derp, thanks. I forgot I was using a Firefox extension to forge the referer so that direct image links would work. Turns out forging http://www.pixiv.net as a referer makes http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=big&illust_id=46203714 links redirect back to http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=46203714.
