Fried noodles with their origin in Chinese chow mein with many variations flavored with Worcestershire sauce, salt and soy sauce. The most common variety is sauce yakisoba flavored with Worcestershire sauce and it has especially deep associations with summer festivals and seaside restaurants called 海の家 (Umi no Ie).
There is also an instant type of yakisoba called cup yakisoba. Contrary to the name, it is not actually fried. For this type of food, use yakisoba, instant soba, and cup ramen tags.
