noodles
A staple food made from dough (whether made with bread wheat, durum wheat, buckwheat, rice, etc. and may or may not include eggs), which is prepared in various ways depending on the type of noodle (one example being rolled flat and made into long thin strips), then boiled in water until done (whether al dente or not). Popular types of noodles include Central European noodles such as spaetzle, Italian pasta such as spaghetti, and East Asian noodles such as ramen.
