Hi, I wanted to ask why post #4783243 and post #4779848 weren't approved
Hello,
I posted a child of a parent that wasn't approved and I'm curious to know why it wasn't approved!
but it's parent was approved post #4670085 ... is there anything wrong with the (child) second post?

The area cropped in post #4789697 is a bit higher resolution than the corresponding area in post #4670085, so I think it could be approved. That being said, the difference in resolution is quite small and I don't see any interesting detail in the close-up.

Well I think it's just suppose to be a close-up of the guy's torso. If you guys don't think it's worth approving that's fine. My original thought was ... oh the 2nd post of this isn't available? I'll just upload it and link it and I thought it would be a sure thing based on that. And when it didnt ... I was like WHY?
You answered that and I'm grateful but I do have another question. If you could

That's a thing people on pixiv and twitter do to adjust the auto-crop. Making it pretty for the thumbnail. That's what it was in this case.
If it's the other way around with the crop second, it's usually teasing a paid alt version.

I love this one, a lot.
3 said it had poor quality though ... looks fine to me
Odd proportions. Rough and inconsistent coloring (cross-hatching lines go all over the place and are sometimes smudged, sometimes not, even for the same object with the same "texture"). Smudged linework. Choice of medium (waxed pastels) further exacerbates this as it draws attention to the flaws.
IMHO color choice also feels a bit garish.

Hi, I'm wondering why post #4798451 and post #4798458 aren't being approved. It really feels like they meet Danbooru's standard of quality to me.
Can you give this one a second chance the first one is translated.
Whats wrong with the second picture.
Thank you.

Would like to know why this has not been approved: post #4801357
Every other piece by the artist has been approved, even the earlier works.
Not for any post in particular, but I’m getting posts stuck in mod queue for >3 days now consistently, limiting my possibility to upload in general.
e.g. right now:
I suppose there's no harm in also asking why post #4800960 was unapproved. It's a bit on the western style side but not offensively so.
There's also post #4800890 you could take a look at which is just a doodle of a fumo, this not meeting danbooru's quality standards is totally understandable.
Am I wrong in assuming that approvers are tougher on new uploaders? Will getting approval get easier over time?

Nah, each post is judged for its content, it doesn't matter who uploaded it. But yes, the issue is that the first post's style tends more to the western side, so most approvers will skip it. It's got a face that resembles western cartoons more than anime.
The second is kinda meh too, the face's deformed and asymmetrical so the whole thing looks amateurish.

Can’t speak for others, but I generally don’t look at the uploader name until after I decided whether or not to approve the post, so it’s all fair game.

From the approver side, no. From your side it depends on whether or not you develop a feel for what kind of art generally does or doesn’t get approved.
Why were these flagged and then went unapproved? I believe that those posts were decent at the time I posted them, unlike some of the artist's latter works.
