hey uhh, why wasn't this approved? it's my first upload so i might have made some mistakes, but i'm pretty sure i did everything right? (aside from the dtext, i kinda fucked it up.)

like hell it has poor quality too, a lot of posts by the artist have been aproved before.

plus the post got quite a bit of upvotes and favorites.

just want to know what i might have done wrong, it's not that important to me but i still felt like i should ask.

I imagine some approvers marked it poor quality either because of the literal video quality or the animation, but it's basically ugoira so I can't see why the animation quality would matter when there's plenty of ugoira posts approved. Maybe the feet? Idk, I feel like some approvers are poor judges of quality in art

Ugoira and videos always have a harder time getting approved, especially if they have a weird sound. You will see, that most active videos and ugoira have been uploaded by unrestricted users and didn't need to be approved. Just imagine, that any approver has to look at the whole video to see if there is anything which makes the video not approvable (not accounting for approvers who just approve after a few seconds maybe), which most won't do especially if they don't like rating:e content anyway.

It's essentially the same as saying "sometimes that's just what you get" which is definitely helpful to new posters wondering why something wasn't approved.

Went back thinking I could just PM this instead but I can't delete the post

The pixiv posts are lossless PNG images, which gives them a slightly higher quality (and a much higher filesize..)

Yes, I know that. My point was that the Twitter version was uploaded first and the pixiv one came later. There are so many posts here that got multiple sources for one art approved so I don't know why mine were just left to delete. Could have just made the pixiv one the parent and approved the other as a child. And I wouldn't have minded if it happens once but this is the third time already so yeah, was wondering why.

Why were these not approved? post #4987211 post #4987613. Both times the pixiv version which got uploaded later got the okay. I know that version is of higher quality but the artists uploaded them on Twitter first and on pixiv later. Seems a bit unfair.

Both images did not get approved. They were uploaded by an unrestricted user. Always check that beforehand. What this event means is that your image was not good enough to pass the queue but an unrestricted user uploaded a higher quality version anyway. It's very much possible that they could get flagged and deleted if you're looking for some kind of fairness.

Not only that, but we make the highest quality image the parent. Uploading the twitter version first doesn't give you any special permissions.

Hello ! I would like to understand why theses posts have not been approved :

Moreover, what I find weird is that I have posted 2 other drawing from the same artist( post #4987761 and post #4987754 ) and it has been approved.
If anyone can clear my mind, thanks.

Just because its the same artist doesn't mean they all have the same quality. The two that were deleted have some really awkward proportioning, uneven outlining making it feel rushed and unfinished, and a very strange "back swoop" and perspective. The two that were approved don't have those glaring issues.

Images will stay in the queue for three days unless someone approves it. That image is unapproved but not deleted. It's still in the queue.

It would be helpful to know when approvers unapprove the image before it gets eventually deleted. Not just learning to know it got deleted afterwards. I don't understand.
