BUR #5240 has been approved by @evazion.

create alias stratocaster -> fender_stratocaster
create alias telecaster -> fender_telecaster
create alias jazzmaster -> fender_jazzmaster
create alias precision_bass -> fender_precision_bass
create alias sg -> gibson_sg
create alias flying_v -> gibson_flying_v
create alias les_paul -> gibson_les_paul
create alias explorer_(guitar) -> gibson_explorer
create alias es-335 -> gibson_es-335
create alias rhoads -> jackson_rhoads
create alias king_v -> jackson_king_v

One way to do it is to refer to them with the name of the manufacturer leading, like wikipedia does.

BUR #5277 has been approved by @evazion.

create implication jackson_rhoads -> electric_guitar
create implication rickenbacker_4001 -> bass_guitar
create implication fender_precision_bass -> bass_guitar
create implication fender_jazz_bass -> bass_guitar

Implication as above. gibson es-335 and jackson king v don't have enough post count

@JEP2004 why the downvote? An electric guitar is an electric guitar.

I believe the Psychomaster tag is unnecesary and instead it could be tagged under the Jazzmaster tag, being a Jazzmaster player myself the Psychomaster is in every way imaginable a Jazzmaster only diferences being the name, the price and the rhythm circuit pickups wich itself also isn't unique to the Psychomaster as many other Jazzmaster models even by Fender itself also don't have rhythm circuit pickups, that means that there really isn't any difference between both guitars, seeing this and putting up with the usual past tagging policy in these cases using the jazzmaster tag for it seems like the better choice for it, by example other guitar clones like many Les Pauls, Stratocasters and Telecasters that aren't real original versions are still tagged under this as more of an Umbrella term, as such i think the same can be dobe here using the Jazzmaster as an Umbrella term for the Psychomaster and other Jazzmaster clones, it also helps keeping the guitar taggings cleaner and easier.

I'm not aware of our entire instrument tagging policy (frankly, I feel like it's a bit of a mess anyway), but as long as it's distinguishable (and as far as I'm aware, it is in this case), I don't see how grouping them under the same tag just because they are "basically the same" makes sense.
If brand A makes a perfect clone of brand B's product, just with their own logo on it, then I think it should still be tagged with brand A when that logo is visible or when there's a reasonable expectation, based on context, that it's that one. Sure, instruments are quite often drawn in a generic fashion because the artists aren't experts either, but it wouldn't be the only case where some canon knowledge can be used to make a decision between two likely options.

My two cents are that seperating instruments that look almost completely identical is a little silly, I think instead of having it be a case of being stuck between psychederhythm_psychomaster or fender_jazzmaster we should instead split things into company tags for when it can be uniquely identified plus a tag for the general model of the guitar so I would have:

- A Psychederrhytem tag for the company to be applied to their jazzmaster (and any other guitars they make should that become relevant).

- Renaming the Fender Jazzmaster to simply Jazzmaster, and the same for any other model names (like the Fender Stratocaster and Fender Telecaster etc)

This would let people searching for Jazzmasters see posts with the Psychederhythm Psychomaster while retaining the ability to exclusively search for those alone with a search like jazzmaster + psychederrhytem.

It would also solve the awkwardness in tagging posts like post #6665770 (Tagged gibson_flying_v) with that has the shape of a Flying V but can you really be sure it's a Gibson or a Jackson or any other generally V shaped guitar?
