Reason: Implications for some of the most populated guitar/bass tags.

An amplifier is essentially a speaker for it obligatorily needs speakers to output sound and they look the part. An amplifier head alone cannot be considered an amplifier by itself since it does not have any cabinet or speaker output in general.
A whammy bar is almost exclusively seen in electric guitars with floating/tremolo bridges and there are no posts of bass guitars with such things present in Danbooru (at least yet).

ESP_Guitars is listed as copyright while it has no characters related to it at all other than Bang_Dream! characters using their equipment which does not count.

Hold on. I've been looking into changing some of the tags for the popular models such as the sg. That's such a tiny name that I think it should be changed to gibson_sg. Same for adding Fender to the Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jazzmaster, the Jazz Bass, and the Precision Bass and adding Gibson to the Les Paul and Flying V. If the Rickenbacker 4001 and the Fender Mustang can have those names as their tags, why not the others?

There are a handful of largely populated tags with only two characters, some even just one and some don't even start with letters at times, eg. :d, v
An SG is instantly recognisable by those two simple letters by anyone who has slight knowledge on guitars or modern stringed instruments in general and there's nothing else named the same way that has the same amount of recognition within art/danbooru circles to explicitly lengthen the tag's name without much reason.

Pretty much all of the tags you want to rename are of guitars that can be easily copied and sold with identical bodies and in fact is a common sight and occurrence. This makes it specially useless and unfair with art pieces where the headstock of the guitar is explicitly omitted from the shot. There are too many companies who make Les Paul, Stratocaster and Telecaster copes to count, the SG, Flying V and Les Paul in particular are some of the most copied models at metal/high-output guitar makers (ESP/LTD for example) and that's not even taking into account how Epiphone is its own company and how they sell their own models (as does Squier in equivalence with Fender's models), Jazzmaster copies and clones are less common but still an easy thing to come across and yes Squier makes those as well. The Jazz and P basses are the two of the most copied bass guitars in history as well.

Given all this you can't just give me an art piece of a character holding a Les Paul for example and expect me to instantly guess that it's a Gibson when the headstock is offscreen or there's no clear comment or indication that it's such a brand. And even then an LTD LP for example is more than similar enough to be tagged in the same way because it's not unique enough to have its own tag.

Instruments such as the Mustang, Jaguar and the Rickenbacker guitars/basses have unique tags because, in Fender's case, it overlaps with the animal and car maker on the Jaguar and the Ford or the WW2 fighter plane on the Mustang so they deserve unique tags, and copies of these guitars are rare anyways. On Rickerbacker's case, a number-only tag for an instrument is way too vague to be left as such so it needs differentiation and it can also overlap, similar to the Mustang and Jaguar's case, copies and clones of Rickenbackers, specially the 4001, are much less common and I'd consider them as rare so it'd be unwise to remove the brand's name from the tag.

I think too that sg should be changed to something more explicit. Something like sg_(guitar). Danbooru is for everyone, even people who might have never seen a guitar in real life, and "sg" is too short and seems like something that could be mistagged. Having it imply another tag makes cleaning up potential errors harder.

Just trying to ensure consistency amongst tags in this category. I noticed that most guns have their manufacturer in their tag names, even ones that have multiple clones.

How else are we supposed to tag amplifiers that don't have speakers? An amplifier may not do anything on its own without a speaker to drive, but it doesn't magically cease to be an amplifier altogether. Also, there are clear examples on Danbooru where speaker-less amplifiers are used for headphones, e.g., post #1921468 and post #2846510.

I think it would be better to manually add the speaker tag where appropriate than have to make up a niche amplifier_without_speaker tag to accommodate an amplifier -> speaker implication.

Cars too. Imagine how obnoxious it would be if they all had tags like r8, rx-7, z4, etc.

I was gonna change the tags immediately if I didn't see that they were part of an implication update. I just need permission and maybe input from a higher-up before I can change the tags.

I agree with including manufacturer names in these tags. So Fender Stratocaster, Gibson SG, etc. This is Wikipedia does. It also lets you do things like search fender_* to find all Fender guitars or gibson_* to find all Gibson guitars.

If something is visually indistinguishable from a Fender Stratocaster then I don't think it's wrong to call it a Fender Stratocaster. It might not have been literally manufactured by Fender, but it's still based on a Fender design. The fact that Fender Stratocaster might include some Fender clones doesn't seem like a big deal to me. For our purposes as an anime imageboard, it's not a big difference.
