I seem to be having a problem with my uploads the approvals have been removed from my formula

(base:332 - (deleted:1291 / 4), 4) - pending:21 = 0

Albert recently implemented a new policy where users that have 7% or more deleted uploads and at least 5000 total uploads will have their upload limit clamped to the default of 10.

You were supposed to have received a dmail informing you of this, but it seems that part is bugged so I just fixed it.

That seems a little harsh its impossible to fix that limit anytime soon comic posters are gonna get hit hard only contributors and above would probably be ok. Gonna be a reduction in comic

Contributors are not immune, any contributors that meet the criteria are automatically demoted to builder and then clamped. Janitor+ are immune though.

I think I misinterpreted something, the limit clamp you meant in the formula not 10 upload slots right?

Since my upload slots is at 10 I made that mistake sorry.

If you meant the limit in the formula then is my formula incomplete

max(base:332 - (deleted:1291 / 4), 4) - pending:0 = 10

Having an upload limit of 10 means you can only upload 10 posts at a time. As long as those 10 are pending you can't upload any more. Once they're approved you can upload again.

"Clamped" means that you can't increase your upload limit past 10, I believe.

Then its almost impossible to fix our stats and get out of that

I'm going to have to say that that idea was poorly thought out and leaves no room for user improvement, because it only uses the user's totals for their entire time and not their more recent uploads. This was already stated in the past on the forum to be a bad idea, as it can overly punish users.

If you look at Krugger's totals then you get 13938 total uploads and 1297 deletions, so a deletion percentage of 9.3%, which is over this 7% value, but if you look at his uploads over the course of the last 2 years you instead have 6174 total uploads and 156 total deletions, which is only a 2.5% deletion percentage. Even better if you look at just this year ago it is 3975 total uploads and 61 total deletions, so a deletion percentage of only 1.5%. About 88% of his deletions are from over 2 years ago, but they're now weighing him down like an anchor, so I'm definitely going to say this idea with its implementation is ridiculously broken.

Finer details on Krugger's uploads over the past 2 years
  • 6174 total uploads up to 2 years ago
    • 156 total deletions
    • 2.5% total deletion percentage
  • 2699 total non-comic tagged uploads
    • 111 non-comic tagged deletions
    • 4.1% non-comic tagged deletion percentage
  • 5.7% deletion percentage of total non-comic tagged approvals with all deletions for up to 2 years.
  • 3975 total uploads up to 1 year ago
    • 61 total deletions
    • 1.5% total deletion percentage
  • 1629 total non-comic tagged uploads
    • 50 non-comic tagged deletions
    • 3.1% non-comic tagged deletion percentage
  • 3.7% deletion percentage of total non-comic tagged approvals with all deletions for up to 1 year.

We already tried this once and it was reversed within a couple days, why did he decide it was a good idea this time? I really doubt that any of the mod team cares if krugger/nanami/scifi/kikimaru/mock flood the queue, they don't post bad things out of malice.

Minor thing with the tag suggester, both during search and editing tags.

Typing "hair_f" suggests, hair_flower, _feathers, and _flip.
"hair_fl" suggests _flower and _flip.
"hair_fla" finally suggests "hair_flaps."

Probably your cache, it works fine for me. Your cache should expire in like a week at most.

Whenever I receive a DMail, it says "Messages (0)". Perhaps, one of the recent updates broke something?

And, while I'm at it, is there a simple way to download all the DMails I have? I don't know how many messages per user are allowed, so I wouldn't like to keep them on the servers for too long (even if it's just a few kilobytes of text).

Try clicking "mark all as read" in your messages, it sometimes fixes that problem.

There's no limit

It's expensive to get a precise count for some searches, in which case the paginator won't show the last page. That's why it seems to switch back and forth for you.

That's the thing, it can go back and forth for the SAME search, including single tag pages.

The problem is that it says "(0)" exactly when I have unread messages. After I open them, it goes back to normal.

There's no limit

I see, thanks.

Probably because of the site being under different levels of stress at different times.

I'm abruptly getting a rather odd error when attempting to modify notes. Initially, it looks like everything's gone well: The new text shows up by the note, and the note outline is black. Then, after some 10 seconds, a "There was an error saving the note" message pops up.

Possibly related: When I call up my user profile, it displays the 1,000,000 count for note changes that it defaults to when a data base query times out. This persists despite several page refreshes.

It's probably just a transient glitch, but better safe than sorry.
