Her carrier rigging now consists of a yumi bow, a quiver attached to her funnel back rig, and her flight deck on her left arm. Unlike the others, her flight deck is actually a flexible piece of armour instead of the usual rigid piece of wood.
Her in-game pre-kai ni shortcomings (slow speed, low plane count, low armor value) represent the real-life shortcomings of Ryuuhou when she was converted from seaplane tender to light carrier. Historically, she was the only warship damaged by the Doolittle Raid launched from Hornet.
