The RPG-7 is a 40mm caliber reusable rocket launcher of Soviet origin, designed in 1958. Being the most produced launcher in the world, it is used by various armed forces and armed groups throughout the world. Simple, rugged, and inexpensive, it consists basically of a tube with an optical sight capable of firing a variety of rocket-boosted grenades. When loaded, the warhead protrudes from the front of the weapon. The most common projectile is the iconic high explosive anti-tank (HEAT) grenade (identifiable by its conical front section).
