Kantai Collection character. The personification of the Japanese seaplane tender Mizuho.
She has grey eyes, very long black hair tied low with a lacy hair decoration, hair decorations shaped like rice stalks on her temples and long sidelocks with hair tubes with red hair ribbons.
She wears a green dress in a vaguely hakama skirt style with an oversized obi, and a white lace jacket with long, furisode-style detached sleeves leading to bridal gauntlets. She also wears fishnet kneehighs under white-and-red high-heeled sandals. Medium damage reveals white lace panties with red ribbon trimming similar to a miko's sleeves.
Her combat gear includes an anti-air turret set upon a Shinto offertory pedestal with a shide hanging off it. On her back rests a miniature ship's stern carrying multiple crane (machine)s and a radio antenna.
She has many holiday portraits due to her illustrator working at Kadokawa. Most of her holiday art involves replacing the object on her pedestal while changing little else on her portrait.
She has a soft-spoken, demure personality. She is also noted for having an appearance similar to Seaplane Tender Princess.
Historically, she was sunk very early in the war in May 2nd, 1942 by the USS Drum, a Gato-class submarine off the coast of Japan.
She was first introduced in the Summer 2015 event. She was illustrated and designed by Akira.
While her name literally means "Young ear of rice", it typically refers to an abundance of rice or a bountiful harvest. Alternatively, it can refer to yet another name for Japan: Mizuho no Kuni, the "Country of Abundant Rice".
