After Kazuma graduated from being a shut-in, his parents continually asked him to return home due to financial problems, but due to becoming enamoured with the freedom of living alone, he continually refused. However, the over 2 hours of commuting to and from school did obviously begin to wear on Kazuma, and he intended to return home at the end of the year.
