Notes not appearing in mobile, prevents me from reading my fav doujins... well, in the browser in my 3ds that is, don't know about iphones though.

I can vouch for notes appearing via iPhone browsing, at least.

And I'll add my kudos to the rest here, Albert. Hope you can resolve those server problems without too much hassle.

They're working for my Windows Phone too, if that bears any significance (although they used to be opaque on Danbooru v1, so I guess it sort of improved).

Despite the fact that it presumably returns more results.

Well, I think it's BECAUSE it returns more results. Timeouts are likely caused by DB checking every row and having to skip over too many.

How do I search for deleted posts? In the old version, I did this by using the "status:deleted" tag, but now the images won't come out anymore. Any help would be appreciated.

People with regular member status are no longer able to see deleted posts.

Just noticed a possible bug, could anyone confirm it for me: post #1010001 only have 1 artist tag (myama), but it shows up in the search result for myama arttags:2.

That's definitely a bug. Although it fixed itself as soon as I submitted an empty tag change. Please post if you notice any more of these.

Deleted threads aren't actually deleted. People can still view the thread and respond to it, both of these things kind of defeating the purpose of deleting a thread.

While we're at it thread locking is limited to mod+ and deletion janitor+.

Updated

Three minor things:

1) The new interface for adding notes.

Every time I hit "n" for a new note, it pops me back up to the top of the page. This has the potential to be really irritating when translating long image files.

It's not *much* worse than the old system, where you had to scroll back up to the "add note" link, but it is about 3/4 of a page of extra back and forth. It would be nice if the "add note" link worked like it used to (and created a new note), but it would be even better if the new hot key system simply didn't move where you were on the page.

2) Resized sample images.

When trying to load the original image, it might be helpful to have a way to shut off using the resized sample image as a placeholder and revert to the old behavior. This is especially true for those of us with a sometimes flaky connection, because there's not an easy way to restart the download of a large image without giving up samples completely. (Also I've found myself accidentally saving a far greater number of sample images under the new system.)

3) Alias & implication search.

Maybe this is just a failure of my memory since I've been away for a few months, but weren't the alias & implication searches pretty easy to get to from the tag search page? I don't remember having to click through to the "More" page each time. A link in the "tags" submenu would be helpful if aliases are not to be kept on the main menu bar.

For me, the N shortcut doesn't bring me to the top of the page at all; it works just fine. Specifically what steps are you taking that cause it to do that?

However, the Add note link being completely bugged also occurs for me.

can you bring back the translation stuff? that would really be nice.

You mean translation notes? They didn't go anywhere, most people can view them just fine.

What browser are you using? Is it a mobile one? Some people have reported issues with notes in mobile browsers.

I can confirm the absence of notes for Google Safari (default iPod Touch browser). Might have something to do with the way the page is loaded.

While we are at those, is comment moderation limited only to mods+ or is it missing like thread locking?

The options I currently see with comments are Reply, Delete, Edit, Vote up, and Vote down. Not sure if that answers your question.

After some more investigation, it seems to be caused by Firefox's "quick find" feature (aka "Find As You Type" or "typeaheadfind" on the about:config page). Danbooru doesn't trap the keystroke before Firefox gets a chance to react to it and start a search for words containing "n" (like Danbooru).

Disabling typeaheadfind might get rid of the problem, but there should be a way to fix the JavaScript to avoid requiring that.
