Well, what I meant by "me" is "everyone" :P.
But yeah, I only said that if we go with a private mode, then it should be done with consequence, that means nothing should be visible with any setting if it is hidden on your profile page. Well, except the things "you" are uploading. That should still be public to anyone (and probably also on "your" pofile page, although that isn't that important when it comes to "privacy" mode.

Still going to disagree with you :P

Once again, it's a not oft used feature. If you are that bothered by others looking through your favorites, use a favorite group -- that's what they're there for. That way you can still favorite all the stuff you're not afraid of letting anyone else know about.

Maybe that could also be included in the help page.

And how well known are these favgroups? Maybe one should really do a quick howto:danbooru and give that as a possible link to new users. There are a lot of unknown things here one first has to learn about, because one simply doesn't know that certain things exist.

They're documented in help:favorite groups, but they're not well known. Which is a shame, because they're highly useful. The name "favorite groups" is misleading, they don't really have anything to do with your favorites list. It's better to think of them like private pools, or personal tags. They basically let you create your own tags to use for whatever purposes you like.

I don't think they should be private, or at least privacy should be on a per-group basis. They can be useful on the forums because they let you make collections of posts that you can show everyone. If you're discussing some specific group of posts, you can make a favgroup to show people exactly what you mean.

I'd be in support of making private favgroups an option just like how we have them for subscriptions. Did wonder for a while why favgroups were either all visible or non-visible through the privacy mode option, since sometimes there are things I'd like to pseudo-favorite with privacy. But then that would mean making all my favorite groups private -- which kind of kills the purpose if you want to share grouped images with friends. I have a friend, for example, that just pools images of ass he likes in his favgroups.

There definitely should be more emphasis on using favorite groups and saved searches though. They're some of the most useful features on this site, which is why I mention there could be a wholly encompassing help page about that sort of stuff (albeit it may just exist without my knowledge).

EDIT: Not to forget though, the growing amount of users that are creating wiki pages with sub:username because they don't know how to use subscriptions. I wonder how one would go about fixing that sort of stuff, anyway...

Yeah, I've never seen it done yet, but this is one of the few times that I would suggest that the admins should just decide whether that post should be deleted or not (I'd suggest making a Admin-only protected thread for this), and then status lock it so that it can no longer be changed.

Why make testriction? If the posts reall should stay deleted forever, then an admin should delete it permanently. But a Janitor is free and flaggers are free.

Topic is topic #13037 ehich is closed.

well apparently you have to be very quick with the status lock...I heard you all had trouble agreeing with each other in a forum about this one pic...and that you all kept snatching the status lock out of eachother's hands.

Nah, it is about western art in general, not just this pic.
So the borders if a post is off-topic is spongy. In the opinion of Saladofstones, a moderator, it is off topic. But if someone else decides that it is still on topic, then so be it. But I doubt that you'll find such a Janitor. I'd really want to re-approve it, but my approval was also flagged.

So: Should a Janitor be allowed to approve a post twice? It has happened before, but here the scenario:

User A flags Post A
Janitor A approves Post A
User B flags Post A
Janitor B approves Post A
User C flags Post A
Janitor A approves post A.

Should this be allowed?
That means you have a circle here. Might deserve its own topic, though.

I mean the main reason why it was flagged so much in the first place was becouse of> aceofspudz <this idiot.

No, it's because it's not anime-related in any way, shape or form. It's the definition of "off-topic", and therefore is left to approver discretion.

off and on, off and on, off and on, contently...can you all just make a damn decision and be done with it.

if I could I'd knock all your freaking heads together I swear -_-

How about you stop acting all entitled instead? No one has any obligation to you here. What's it o you if the post is approved or not? I strongly suspect that your complaints are some form of poor attempts at trolling, so if you try provoking or attacking people one more time, we'll start handing out bans to cool your head off.

Also, this topic is intended for technical problems of Danbooru. At least try to keep it to that.
