Danbooru 2 upgrade on Feb 16, 2013

Posted under General

I am not sure if this is mentioned before, but I noticed that []'s works were blacklisted. The only catch is that I never blacklisted the artist before at all (never even used the blacklist option at all), and when I check up on my blacklisted tags in user settings, it was completely empty.

Are subscriptions still not totally working, or are just new subscriptions working? I'd like to get my subscriptions working again and not really sure if that was a real thing or just something that seemed to work for some people.

Is the ordering system not working at this time? order:score and order:favcount along with a specific tag (pokemon) return by dates/regular listing. If order tags are used without a specific tag (simply typing "order:score"), it returns the following message:

"The database timed out running your query. Try a simpler query that returns fewer results."

order:rank still works though (hot page).

I wonder if this is related to resolution, I get this when browsing danbooru on my Android, or if I shrink my desktop browser window to around 900 pixels wide or less.

Between that and about 1150 pixels wide the vertical j-list banner starts to overlap content. The down to 900 or so the content just gets pushed below everything.

I adjusted resolution. Made no difference.

order:favcount is broken.

order:score works fine for me, though. You can't use it with huge searches that would return a ton of results or it will time out, but that's not a bug.

Is that permanent? Although I don't really mind all too much, it was possible on the old danbooru.

Thanks.

Pardon the intrusion, but you say you're using IE8? I'm using IE7, and am experiencing the same problems you've described (ESPECIALLY the translation notes thing). My advice? Do what I am going to do this evening (when I have my tech-savvy uncle on hand to assist): switch to Firefox or Google Chrome. Apparently, IE9 is the only Internet Explorer version compatible with the new Danbooru. And I have heard nothing but BAD THINGS about IE9.

I'll think about it.

Regarding the issue with blacklistings? Is that true of everyone using the site? That they just aren't working at the moment?

Blacklists are working for me. I just tested them on the posts, comments, and pools page. That may also be caused by your browser.

Still getting use to some of the changes but the site is improving daily.

I found one thing that's rather odd but I'm not sure it's actually a bug or if it's something that's always been this way and I never ran across it.

If I look at post #1364900 it shows that there are no comments on the post. Nothing odd about that of course... but the post is on page 3 of the comments page. It might be that someone commented, thus bumping the image onto the comments page, then deleted the post, leaving the post still listed on the comments page. If so I've never seen it happen before. Or it could be something else, though I'm not sure what.

Is there any particular reason you've pasted that here not once, but twice?

He's probably doing that due to what he had said earlier. Although I don't think what he's doing is constructive.

Please get rid of that ToS page; I'm not a cookie fan and I don't need sth. like that to browse Wikipedia or Google.
Took me almost ten minutes to post that comment.
Thank you, guys.

I'm not sure if anyone brought this up yet (and it seems this only started happening today; it was working fine before), but when you tag search rating:*, user:*, etc, the page numbers at the bottom of the page go missing. It's fine when you search normal tags, though.

EDIT: And the moment I post this, it goes back to normal...
