Upload Feedback Thread - post here if your uploads keep getting deleted

Posted under General

Ladies and gentlemen, good day. I cannot understand why were those posts got deleted, despite I absolutely believe that the quality of the artworks are high enough in order to meet this site's standards:
1. post #5794819 . Sometimes I found it weird to see how many approvers did not even write down the reason on the red "deletion banner" above the image. Only details of how many approvers who did not like it. Do you think the main flaw of this ShinAya artwork are the legs that look like being erased? I think this can be intentional in order to depict Ayano as if she's disappearing gradually or just being obscured by thin haze.
2. A comic strip post #5781686 post #5781704. You gentlemen think that schoolgirl Kanao does not look beautiful enough with Tanjirou's specs? I know the whole comic look like a sketch, but the quality is still far from low. By deleting this post, I think this is disgraceful to the translator who put a lot of effort on notes.
3. post #5791055. Doesn't this look emotional enough?
4. post #5781245. So far this looks like one of the cutest, yet emotional fanart of my favourite Vocaloid song. And I don't think the art is poorly-drawn. Body proportion is realistic enough.
5. post #5792825. I found the lack of good B-ko and Shuuen no Shiori artworks kinda depressing. I still don't understand why some of good-quality posts are kept getting deleted just because the approvers don't really like them. Is that because something wrong you noticed from the girl with scissors?

Why did not they just put those unapproved SFW posts under "unmoderated" category instead of deleting them unvoluntarily?
Another question, does the amount negative feedbacks decrease the probabilities of posts from being approved, regardless of high quality? I received one.
Meanwhile I've seen some furry artworks becoming accepted here while those are regarded as borderline content. I would like to suggest that the moderation should prioritize on approving, reviewing general and sensitive artworks, instead of borderline ones.
Moreover, I need to consult reasons of rejection on this thread before wasting upload slot by appealing. Thank you for accepting all our complaints.

Most approvers use the “No interest” button and don’t write a reason for everything because there are way too many images to review. There are hundreds of new images to check every day.

Well, this one’s just plain bad. It’s very rough all over, but what really sticks out is that badly drawn hand. It doesn’t help that it’s the focus of the image, too. The arm’s proportions or perspective are also weird.

Posts don’t get put in the “unmoderated category”. Putting them there would be moderation. Some users can post images without moderation because they have a track record of many upload with few deletions. Users who have not shown that they can upload with few deletions must have all their uploads pass through the moderation queue. That’s the whole point of moderation.

Another question, does the amount negative feedbacks decrease the probabilities of posts from being approved, regardless of high quality? I received one.

No. Every post is judged by itself and most approvers don’t ever look at the uploader name because it doesn’t matter.

Borderline content means that it’s usually judged very harshly and might get flagged for deletion anyway. Maybe those posts were drawn very well.

If you’re talking about the moderation and approvals off different ratings, they already favor general and sensitive posts:
Here are the October statistics:

RatingApprovedDeletedApproval rate
General9575114089 %
Sensitive7439141084 %
Questionable179165373 %
Explicit2281128864 %

Our approval process is known to be pretty harsh and with the amount of high quality art we get every day, we don’t need the mediocre ones. If you disagree with that, feel free to upload to another image board that has more lax approval standards.

This one’s an inferior Twitter duplicate, uploaded after the superior Pixiv version was already up.

But how about the rest of four posts (including its child)? For the same reason?
Anyways, those are understandable and fine. Thank you very much for your criticism, feedback and confirmation.

I am aware that these are self-uploads, but experiencing this website's "harsh" moderation system, I started actually wondering what people outside of my circle think about my works. These are only a few that I uploaded recently, but I would definitely like to know what you think may be wrong with them. I know it's not personal, but still - gotta improve somehow.

It's not much of a critic but if you just want a response, then I think I prefer if the heads are bigger in these two so that it looks relatively more proportional, at least proportional enough for anime art.

Also I like that first art you upload, it calms me.

These posts have been deleted. Is it possible to post DAZStudio works?

I would advise against posting NSFW/R-18 3D in general, it is not very popular on Danbooru. You can absolutely NOT post faceswaps with photos of real people!

And just in case because I saw it on your Pixiv, please do not post AI-generated images on Danbooru, these are against the upload rules.

Please do not reply in this thread if you're not an approver, especially not with vague statements about personal preference.
