Upload Feedback Thread - post here if your uploads keep getting deleted

Still better than a lot of the stuff you uploaded, my dude. Maybe you should stop being so pretentious.

"Literally the same quality as every other work from kojima" is one of the worst possible reasons you can use on this site and I'm sick of having to tell people that. We don't care if the artist has 500 scat guro mspaint pics unfit for deviantart if image 501 is truly high quality. We judge images in isolation. I just said this a page ago, someone else just explained this half a dozen posts above yours, and it was used multiple times on this page. (...unless this reply bumps the thread up to page 200 edit: haha it was)

This is the fourth time you've used that reason in this thread and every time before has been the same answer:
The image you asked about has noticeably more errors than the artist typically makes.

Judge the art, not the artist, not the copyright, not the character. And definitely not the uploader.

If you see something you think is actually bad, flag it. My uploads, another unres user's uploads, something that was approved and you disagree. Doesn't matter. Same goes for appealing. If you stumble across something more than a month old and deleted, feel free to appeal it. I sometimes go through deleted images for a tag or user to find the missed gems. I approve stuff in this thread all the time, too. If you want to call the way the site is explicitly made to operate pretentious, so be it. Be the change that you want to be.

I can understand my older work being seen as unrefined, but why is my newer content seen as below sub-par when clearly a significant amount of people outside of the board clearly like it.

I just don't get what your boards opinions are, so explain it to me, because other communuties like Gelbooru, Sankaku Complex, and Rule34.xxx all seem very supportive in my newer work, even posting it on my behalf in some cases.

Please read howto:upload about self uploads:

Uploading One's Own Art is Discouraged

Posting one's own art is discouraged, because artists tend to be biased when it comes to judging the quality of their own work. What looks good to you may be regarded not quite up to the standards of Danbooru by others.

More suitable sites to upload your own art to include Twitter and Pixiv.

Addendum: At least Gelbooru and, I guess, Rule34 have no approval process, so of course it's more "supportive", as it doesn't delete your work, like Danbooru does.

Well even over 20 - 30 patrons of your own site clearly liked, and favorited my newer work of their own taste, and I have recently start using self-uploads tag in response to your staffs messages, so I have to ask if there might be a quality bias on your end, my work isn't professional, but it isn't below sub-par, and it's clearly appreciated by your own site memebers, even if it isn't by your staff.

Which is a factual analysis of quality not built on content bias, but results.

I'll just be taking my uploads elsewhere from now on, I wish your guy's site well, but content is king when there diversity, not bias.

Is it possible to give these two warhammer images another chance??

The first one has a lot of noticeable errors, like a bowed thigh, awkward face, and how it seems like her supposedly metal midriff is curving with her hip pop. The second just feels unfinished.

Please give feedback for
(I think it's no worse than other approved posts by this artist)

Unfortunately, it is. Worse use of color, worse linework, and it lacks the same umf.

Also for the love of birb stop using that justification.

it would be helpful if you could point out what the problem is with this post #5032728
I mean, there are two other alternative versions approved (post #5030708 - post #5030106), also, the deleted version has a higher resolution, I don't understand what's the problem.

To be honest, I don't like any of the versions. I'm a pretty par-the-course approver, so I imagine a lot of others feel the same. Never forget that it only takes one approver and that one might be alone in their opinion. I'd recommend appealing that image, but if it doesn't get approved don't be surprised.

In addition, if you upload a higher quality version it should be the parent.

1) Likes/Favs have no bearing on the quality of a work. We have images with over 100 upvotes deleted. Upvotes are based on horny, not quality. Upvotes are not a "factual analysis of quality" and actually are entirely built on bias. post #4418317 has been at a flat 0 up/down vote score for a year. post #5131620 hit +50 in about a week.
If you tell me that the latter is higher quality, you're a coombrain who needs to calm down.

2) I sent you that DM as a warning that your art probably wouldn't get accepted. I don't like pointing out flaws to an artist confident enough to upload because it will always end poorly. As the guidelines state, the artist often not the best judge, be it positively or negatively, of their own art. If you go back through this thread, you can find another self-uploader making the same claims as you. He uploaded lowres mspaint pics.

3) Quality over quantity. You call it bias, we call it "not being deviantart".

Hi, why do my posts get deleted, but then uploaded to other sites like safebooru? Seems like a mistake. Should I have been using those other sites all along instead?

Safebooru.org is a branch of gelbooru.org. Gelbooru copy/pastes everything uploaded to Danbooru every 30 minutes, minus comics. A vast majority of other boorus do this. We have no control over that.

We are the site with the strongest quality control which is why your uploads are being deleted.

Ok, I'll go use those sites then

1) The other versions were uploaded by an unrestricted uploader. Having drawn attention to it, someone has now flagged the original versions. I'd say she's got a weird head/face and the shading is too weak for me to approve, but I wouldn't be surprised regardless of it it gets approved or deleted.

2/3) Try tracing the spine on images like this. You'll often find them doin' some wacky stuff and detaching.

5) There's something offputting about it that I can't place. Fisheyed, odd hands, something off about the shading? It's hard to look at.

6) Bad linework, proportions, and shading.

They're all rife with minor errors, poor shading, poor lighting, weak linework, etc. etc. They're not all bad, but very much below par. If you feel they're good enough even after a good hard stare, most of them are old enough to be rightly appealed.
