Thoughts on the artist hitsukuya, for example this art?
They are very capable of drawing, but I feel that they changed to AI recently, no timelapses, just WIPs.
It's hand-drawn, but I can see why you might think it's AI, as many AI-generated images often feature this same basic sitting pose. the artist may have traced it from AI or a reference of it

The Twitter account in the source doesn't have the typical behaviours of an "AI artist". The account was created since November 2013, the person behind the account constatly retweet and gives favorites to other artists in the plattaform, and sometimes replies to other users. However, there's no other pages in the description of the account to follow him. No Pixiv, no DeviantArt, no Patreon, nothing.
Their account is flooded with retweets. Due to this, I have to assume the account belongs to a casual user who was there only as an enjoyer, and not an artist, only recently attempting to experiment with AI. And I mention this, because between the flood of retweets, there's another image of Saber, here.
This beforementioned Saber-san picture looks suspicious too, at least in my option. Judge for yourselves. As for me, I think they're using AI, for all the reasons above.

The artist says they sometimes use AI for their background like here (slight NSFW warning). Is the rest enough human work for it to be uploaded with the AI-assisted tag?

The characters seem human-made.

What's AI about this one?

What's AI about this one?
Artist is using a flatter shading than they used to but I don't think this one is strongly suspicious.
Chains in the right side background on post #6934043
Weird fireplace in post #6933952
Drastic difference between shading quality on main girl and everything in the background in post #6945371
Some of their stuff on pixiv I could believe is original, but the recent stuff is obviously assisted to some degree.
Was flagged as AI.
Check akahara_tyun. They stopped posting on pixiv since changing their style, and their new style is full of simple poses with shading that looks AI.

There's a linked PSD and the layers all seem legitimate.

If you scroll down his profile you'll see the obvious generated stuff like https://twitter.com/STOP_THINKINGAA/status/1656744667852185600, but the latest stuff is a completely different style, so I'm wondering if it's his own art, or if he's just using a model that's copying a specific style.
Looking more closely at that picture, it might actually be ai-generated. In particular the hairband and eyes have weird blurry lines that are typically a telltale sign.

Those stacks of chips look really weird, as well as the inconsistent shadow. I'd wager AI is at least involved for the background.
