AFAIK it always was skirt only.

Well, I just searched for zettai_ryouiki shorts and there came 91 pages out.
So I think it's largely used with shorts here to. I guess, I alter the wiki page then^^.

There are posts with zettai ryouki and a different character with shorts. Also zettai_ryouiki has 2200 pages, making those with shorts a very tiny minority I regard as mistagged.

I wouldn't do that. That wiki page has links to three external zettai ryouki definitions, and none of those include shorts. The pixiv definition also doesn't include those. ;)

Hmm, quite troublesome this case. But how should we treat those cases then? In my eyes, there is no big visual difference if there is a gab between the skirt and a thighhigh or a short. And I thought zattai ryouiki refers only to the gap and skirts are the most common examples.

It's also about being almost able to see - panties, that is. It's not a big visual difference, true, but still a difference.

Edit: As for what to do... I'd remove the tag from posts with shorts.

Ok, since we are going almost every time after the pixiv definition, I think I'll do some tag gardening and change the wiki page again :3.

I'll do some as well. A problem shared is a problem halved.

Don't forget bike_shorts zettai_ryouiki. There's quite a few posts there too.

EDIT: Shorts under skirt shouldn't count either, should it? Seems to defeat the purpose of zettai ryouiki.

Yes. I wanted to ask this as well but if panties don't count, then the "larger" version shouldn't count as well.

Now it's time to cover panties and zettai ryouiki.

Yup, bike shorts and other shorts under skirt kills the tag just like panty shots do.
I guess we got most of them.

The tail fins of an arrow are known as fletches. We haven't a tag for that, presumably because they're a such a common feature of arrows and are rarely prominent in illustrations.

Their faces being rather close probably has a tag? Since I'm a degenerate who searches for those kinds of pictures, in most pictures I upload the situation is covered by incipient_kiss but I'm not sure it fits here
