Er, this may be the wrong forum to ask this, but if pools are missing, what's the proper procedure to follow?

Hmm, it looks like any pool marked as inactive does not show up anywhere, whether it be on the pool listing or the sidebar of a post. You can still view them if you have a link to it, though. Example: pool #4131.

So marking a pool as inactive currently functions similarly to deleting it. Not good.

Just tried to upload some high quality scans, but it seems DB2 doesn't accept images that are larger than 5mb, even if they're linked from dropbox as opposed to being uploaded straight from the computer.

There have been some larger than 5mb posts today, like post #1362267 which is almost 10mb.

Hm, you're right. It must've been that I was uploading too many images at once, which overloaded the image pending system (Which is kind of weird).

Edit: It seems 10mb+ is definitely too big though. Just tried multiple times to upload something that was 10.5mb. I'll keep trying though.

It looks like <font size> and <font color> and such were re-enabled, but they're still acting a little weird.

Take the title on post #1362128 (the note popup is too short and the text is squished) or the note on post #1348181 (the note popup seems to be the right size, but the text is vertically offset).

There are also some horizontal problems with certain notes, but they're less noticeable.

I haven't looked around much yet, but I'd like to point out that the v1's UI wasn't only mostly fine like it's been said many times now, but was in fact something the site could be proud of. Maybe albert wasn't told enough how great it was (the user profiles being the prime example IMO, hopefully it's temporary).

I support the tags being grouped by color. Very handy for posts that are a mess to tag.

I like uploader:X instead of user:X too. It may be a bit less stressful for artists who find out they've been reprinted, and less ambiguous for new users in general.

Forum post times changed to actual dates instead of "X time ago" is also a nice thing.

Also on a positive note: the first page of posts when the uploads were locked was unusually good. :>

I agree with grouping them, but I don't think the huge headers and separators are necessary.

I'm getting some interesting effects from the notes on post #879261.
Initially I noticed that they were not sized properly, so I attempted to resize one and move it back into place. After saving it and refreshing, the notes were all over the page and the image wasn't visible without viewing the original size (but I'm seeing a lot of people mentioning that already), However, when I did view the original size, it caused the notes to blow up to some insane sizes and threw them about 50000 (very, very rough estimate) pixels away from the top-left corner of the page, and attempting to drag them back, or even just clicking on them makes them vanish and reappear somewhere else. I tried reverting to a previous note history, but that only seems to be making it worse, so I stopped "helping". I just wanted to let you know in case it might be something related to the update.

Keep up the good work!

Forum search function seems to be broken, it takes me to Failbooru when I click it. Was trying to find if the Comments were mentioned.

How does the Comments work this time? They seem to be sorted by post ID and not by order of comments when I hit 'Next'.

I just tried to upload something and clicking on "Related tags" only showed the related tags for the last added tag in the box. Does anyone else have this happen to them?

Also, I can't see some posts if they get resized. I need to click on view original to see them, where they then get blocked by the ad on the right side of the screen.

a few things, layout-wise.

You know, I have 1680x1050 screen resolution, and it's considered rather low nowadays. So, why in the world would you limit the thumbnail div container to 900px?
http://puu.sh/24pQR
No, really: http://puu.sh/24pRU

You could at least center it.

Next, I can probably understand why you decided to generate previews, but FFS, 850px wide? WHY? Not only it is creating a huge overload on the server...yes, I saw that 'out of memory' error in upload queue and encountered it myself back in the days, image processing libs are damn greedy when it comes to huge resolutions.
...but is also mighty useless as it is now. I mean, come on, even 1024x768 wallpaper is resized. It might be a little easier on traffic, yeas, but preview generation overhead and upload queue which can hang the entire site are so much worse. And you left us without oh-so-convenient 'resize to fit the screen' option. And without the option to resize it back once we are viewing the full image.

Usability-wise the better solution would be 'resize to fit the screen' and 'resize images over <x> pixels wide' options in the user profile. Done rather easily with javascript, no overhead, old uploading process, less grumbling from the users :3

And I'll say this again, but the new pool positioning is awful. If I got your idea right and you want the image to be 'in the center' as much as possible, then move pool list below the image, above the comments. They often have long names, which are hard to read when they are that cramped, and navigation became a bad joke with those tiny « ».

It shows the related tags of whichever tag you have the text cursor on. Having the old functionality of doing them all at once would be more convenient, though.

I thought that having them all come up was a result of having the text cursor on a space (likely at the end of the bunch), not on a specific work

Also I've noticed sample problems that have some of them end up really tiny and requiring to go to the original size (basically defeating the point of the sample size)

post #680638 is an example of what I speak of.

So, I don't know if this is because of the change or not, but when I try to view my favourites, I can only about 120 pictures before I get the 'Nobody here but us chickens' page, and it seems like it's skipping several pages each time. What's the deal here?

All Anonymous comments (back from when danbooru allowed anonymous comments, as well as from the accounts that got deleted when deadbooru happened) are instead marked with "albert". Not really a good idea to replace Anonymous with albert, and it took me a good while and many posts to work out that it was happening.

It'd add a huge overhead for the clients, both in terms of bandwidth and memory. We have loads of pictures with resolutions like 6k × 7k, and a couple images which are over 100MB in their original form. Resizing that client-side would be terrible, and bump the bandwidth use for everyone for no gain.

Samples are a must, they just need to be done sanely.
