The birds and the bees is clearly one or more characters explaining how babies are made (etc). It's even in the description, "Can also be known as "The Talk"."
So the sed_ed is a porno and pool #3238 is "how r baby formed" scenes. However, the pool does admit (in the description again), that the themes are related, but that doesn't mean the overlap enough to ditch one for the other.

i think a confessing_to_viewer tag could be interesting if there are other such posts, or just for future reference.

imho, i think there's no need to create tags at that level of identifying pokemon with their respective types/elemental powers. it's like classifying naruto ninjas into fire, lightning, sand, rock, and mist (which we don't do i believe?). i personally think there are enough websites for that.
Regarding the Pokemon type pools: they actually do have a valid concept, but have recently been subject to misuse. They are intended to contain images with a focus on a certain type, but this has been stretched to "any picture of any Pokemon with this type". post #629043, post #911299, and post #663387 are a few examples of images that belong in these pools.
Personally, I think they should stay, but they need a lot of pruning.
I'd be fine with changing it to something close to the Touhou Stages Gathering pool in terms of what applies:
But even even, this one is split into 17 pools. The stages gathering pool is not split into 7 pools (stage 1 gathering, stage 2 gathering, ....). We even merged the extra stage gathering pool into it.
I have to agree with ghostrigger's sentiment. There's no reason why you should need to search by type, it's outside the scope of this site. If you want to find a pokemon just search by their tags. I could maybe see some use for them if they were for undeniably type themed pictures and not just a tag to apply to any given picture with a pokemon in it, but even then I'm sure a simple element tag like fire or water could be thrown in to find those with a good amount of success.

How would you compose that search, out of curiosity? It needs to include 2-6 of 4-6 specific characters and no one else.
And any animal girls group would also pull in Touhou's cat girls, fox girl, tanuki girl, possibly Nitori depending on the pic, etc.
I dunno, it looks like at least as worthy of a theme as the Old Maids Alliance pool or the Team 9 tag.

Ugh, I meant a pool that is NOT restricted to touhou. And all characters would be judged by their visible animal features (ears, tail, wings) and not their canon race. (which means kemonomimi_mode images would apply as well)
This pool search can then be combined with *_ears/*_tail tag or wings or character searches ~mystia_lorelei ~shameimaru_aya ~himekaidou_hatate ~tokiko_(touhou) ~reiuji_utsuho.
"Touhou's cat girls": I'm sure some guy will eventually make a pool for that.

I'm aware. I meant in the context of searching that pool with the touhou tag in a compound search. I actually deleted a phrase to that effect, 'cause I thought it was redundant.
And I think kemonomimi mode pictures would need to be explicitly excluded from any such theoretical pool or it becomes valueless.
