it's definitely part of pool #2059 perverted girls in my opinion, with pool #2059 even aknowledging her as a pervert in pool #3171 in its description.
as far as i know, pool #3171 could be summed up by the search pool:2059 akemi_homura even if there will have a few false positive
If you had used the search bar, you would've known that pool #3171 - "Perverted Homura" was brought up THREE times already, each with an explanation for keeping it. Stop spamming this thread with that pool.

Is it useful? Could it be a tag? Is there already a tag that covers this or a very similar situation? Should it be renamed (yes)?
I'm thinking of removing all instances of the word "Touhou" from pool #4944 - Touhou - Feral Instincts because I really think this works for many animal characters of other copyrights, such as nekomusume in post #414236.
Any objections?

just read their argument. muscle and toned images. -male if you want to eliminate noise, but toned is already dominated by females. muscle I don't know, someone would have to tag the males so we can determine which gender is the majority. muscular_female tag was suggested as well, if something like that is really necessary.

I know that the latter currently has the restriction of having to be tagged 東方装束考 on pixiv, but as many already know, these "pixiv projects" aren't as much closed projects, but tags can be retroactively applied to any posts (old or future posts) by anyone, meaning I could go to the pixiv page of post #466922 and tag it 東方装束考. This has always been a gripe that I've had with those pools, that their purpose is only to mirror pixiv tags which are subject to their users tag edits (and even trolls and vandalism) instead of only their artists'. They aren't really projects, it's just the way pixiv tags work. They often make redundant tags like these (which we would never do) that are used for some time and then forgotten. (some images in pool #1765 are not tagged 東方装束考 on pixiv, danbooru users just put the images in there because they fit the theme)
The concept of "Behind the Scenes" may be too broad, but I think we could have a general costume examination pool or even tag for all copyrights. The closest tag we have today is character_sheet, which applies to a few, but not all posts.

I don't think it's pointless. The pool is about pictures featuring characters grouped together because of their hair color, which is a fairly common motif in fanart.
pool #3830 was expanded from its original focus, and can see discussion of it in forum #69128 and forum #67442.
The name should probably be changed though, as "hair colors" doesn't give enough information on what the pool is for and makes it sound like something that isn't worth keeping.

In my opinion, this is fine, it should indeed be broadened.
As for exception IV, it may be because Ex-keine is a hakutaku, which might not be considered an animal by some so let's just say it's a confirmation or something, i guess.
Or we could have a tag hair_color_connection, to follow suit with color_connection (and creator_connection, and so on.)
P.S.: This discussion is getting big, so I think it merits its own thread.

Whatever the name will be, I just want to make sure that unlike other *_connection tags, this tag should not be used if there are just 2 character with the same hair color (all the Yuuka x Wriggle images), at least not unless there is a giant "GREEN" in the image or something like that.

You're just a little bit off with your suggested search, the pool is more a chen kaenbyou_rin toramaru_shou -everyone search. Everyone posts actually make up the lion's share of the results for the search you suggested (5 out of 7 pages worth). Which I think kinds of proves the point that just because the image has all 3 tags, doesn't mean they're the focus of the image.
I'm honestly inclined to say keep the pool though, because I imagine it's only a matter of time before some other member gets added to the group and the search will just end up getting more and more complicated as time goes on. Although I do think the posts in the pool should only focus on the cat-type characters, so post #1060216 and post #775493 should be removed from the pool.
If you really wanted to generalize the pool, we'll at least need to make two different pools that cover similar but slightly different depictions. One pool to cover mixed collections of animal characters (ie images that are just the animal characters in general, btw this doesn't already exist? Seems like it should) and another pool to cover specific animal themed animal character collections.
