Yeah, Hisashi Hirai is the pinnacle of artist laziness since if you compare SEED and Fafner, the characters all look like they're from the same series.

Anyone, last of my posts for a while unless I feel ballsy enough to submit things in the future.

This one got put into the Query and expired. Same with the other Onani Master Kurosawa. Pretty much the same as the last two I submitted.

And though these aren't deleted yet, and I'm sure they will be and it'll be upheld. I just want to try to understand why just to improve myself when submitting material in the future. Considering it's from the same lot of quality, just why do some get +3, yet these two get voted down? Personal taste or is there really something grievously wrong with them?

I feel like posting on Danbooru is like playing a fiendish game against god. Where no matter how well I do, sooner or later the posting formula will ban me from submitting images.

They're not TOS violations or extremely gross or offensive in any way, but they are, simply, not well drawn. The proportions don't really feel right and they're just a bit... bland, I guess. Simplicity can be the central appeal of an image sometimes, but in this case it's a detriment.

I feel like posting on Danbooru is like playing a fiendish game against god. Where no matter how well I do, sooner or later the posting formula will ban me from submitting images.

On the other hand, there are plenty of people who are quite successful with their uploads and even get invites. It's not impossible.

And it requires changing your mindset as to what you like and what is great quality. I had to do some unlearning myself.

I guess being someone who saves things because they are atheistically pleasing to myself, doesn't mean the community as a whole will agree with me. Like with post #491836, I noticed some proportional errors, but didn't feel like it took away for the image's serenity as a whole. Obviously that the general consensus though.

The problem I'm going to have is I will not be able to unlearn the difference between personal taste and acceptable general public quality. I know quality control is necessary, but I've got the mindset that it's 'better to reign in hell, than serve in heaven'.

I'll give submission one more shot in the future and if it goes down in flames. I'll just go back to being a patron of the arts.

Though, Thank you for the feedback and advice. I appreciate it more than you'll ever know.

I happen to notice that your upload limit has actually increased from 7 to 9 since the last time I looked at it.

This may sound incredibly stupid, but...

I was going to upload a picture, but it comes out it was already uploaded and already deleted (I also checked the source link, and I confirm it was the one I was going to upload).

Now, probably you all will wonder why do I care of a picture I haven't uploaded myself.

Well, I would still like to know what caused the deletition of this specific post:

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see such a worse picture comparing to the other depicting the same character, nor it seems worse comparing to the other artist's works (which I will however admit, I'm not 100% sure if its really him, but that style belongs to him only, I can't believe someone else made it).
The reason I'm asking is because I need to know if that specific picture goes agains some kind of rule, so I can hope to avoid making the same mistake.

It is somewhat in keeping with the style of the cartoon, though. I probably wouldn't approve it if it was in the mod queue right now, but I wouldn't be shocked to find it on danbooru either. Kind of a borderline case.
