Sorry, I didn't notice that. I've checked all the others again, and they seem to be actual image samples, as far as I can tell.

These aren't samples of their current sources and at least some are visually slightly different.

It matters to me because I had uploaded the image before realizing there was a higher quality. So instead of wasting more approvers time and bloat my image approval, I wanted to go with this instead.

Keyword here is usually. What's wrong with replacing one lower res/quality with a higher res/quality if the uploader is asking? After all, it was requested same day and barely an hour apart.

The image hosted on deviantart is probably "corrupt" in some fashion. I don't know how that bot works. I replaced it anyway.
