We are now at the point where 4channers are coming in to ramble about grooming and fetishists
I don't use 4chan and I'm against your transphobic narrative. Reported.

There's a difference between being forced as a child and choosing to as an adult.
Being trans isn't something you fucking choose. Just look at any trans people aged 40 and up, they grew up in a time were being trans was not socially accepted and boys were raised as boys.
You are fetishizing grooming and making trans people look like groomers. Quit grasping at straws.
No U.

So it's a coincidence that Gen Z has an ABNORMALLY high % of people coming out as trans compared to previous generations?
Wow, it's almost as growing up in a time were it's generally socially accepted to be trans makes people open about their identity, as opposed to growing up hiding it out of fear of persecution and dicrimation.
Gonna lock the thread briefly to afford the more emotionally challenged among us a chance to breathe some fresh air and disperse some of that rage against the machine outside of our forums. Voting can continue as usual in the meanwhile.
As a reminder, please stay civil. This is an anime imageboard, not your local social media or general forum. Nobody cares what your political opinions or personal beliefs are.
I want to remind people the poll is specifically about "Should we tag Bridget as a girl on Guilty Gear Strive posts that are G-rated?" It's only about tagging Bridget as a girl on these specific posts:
Not on these posts:
Anything before Strive or anything that shows Bridget with a bulge or penis would still be tagged the same way as before.
This is not some proxy battle over trans issues or whether you agree with the changes in the game. It's only about how we should tag Bridget on a specific set of posts.
i wake up and the topic was closed ;; wtf happened here
anyways i was wondering about something, on posts like post #5691410 that call bridget a girl in the description, would that also be the same as a picture using the trans flag? since those pictures specifically were changed to 1girl.
On the posts in question it seems there's every reason to make the change. Detached from the context of who Bridget is, those posts would be tagged under the presumption that a feminine appearing person in feminine, androgynous, and in some circumstances even masculine dress, should be tagged as 1girl, in the total absence of any context or clues. With no pixiv tags, with no commentary, with no in image confirmation, that presumption would be made nearly every time if not outright every time. Nothing about the addition of the context, as all the posts in the category being after Bridget herself identifies as a girl as confirmed by her creator, would change it to be 1boy. The only argument broadly is precedent from prior installments and the history of the character, but that is rendered irrelevant by the selective nature of the change.
ill just reiterate what i said in the previous topic
All bridget STRIVE images going forward would get a transgender canon tag, so people can see other characters that are transgender. The amount of transgender characters WILL increase in the near future. ONK and transgender should not be mutually exclusive because of NSFW posts, but it should be enforced that transgender characters will be tagged as their birth sex if they are not passing. Example: Yamato from one piece should never be tagged 1boy unless genderswapped.
This will lead to debate over the transgender tag. But considering how many people had to be told to stop tag warring during those posts that the artist says are 2boys paizuri with bigger honkers than cathyl, we can use common (or at least mod-enforced ruling) sense in these edge cases.

i said that more about some other characters that are trans, but still look very much like their birth gender
if bridget passes and the artist says bridget is female, then the image will be 1girl
otoko no kos have always been a minefield for canon vs twys, but default bridget is still male
if you want an example of an kinda of former ONK post-op butactuallyitwasmagic trans character, see sizz flair, who becomes a woman in the last part of the game (and consequently would be tagged as female going forward if the game was actually popular enough to get fan art)

i'm still confused what you mean by "passing". strictly speaking, Bridget has always looked like a girl. the only times Bridget doesn't pass is when a bulge shows, she's in her birthday suit (neither of those would be SFW so they don't even apply to the BUR) or when the artist makes her look manly on purpose.
otoko no kos have always been a minefield for canon vs twys, but default bridget is still male
in XX, sure. but strive Bridget is a trans girl and no longer an otoko no ko. if 1boy and 1girl were purely biological, this topic would not have reached 23 pages.

It would help if someone could make a list of such posts. If it's a small number of posts and they're G-rated then I'm inclined to just say yes.

post #5578921 (not in the description, but image has "see you space cowgirl" in reference to Bridget)
post #5586445 (not in the danbooru post itself, but the commissioner in the source image uses "her" so maybe that counts)
and as a separate thing i found, the background in post #5585077 looks like a blurry trans flag to me, so maybe this picture too?
i didn't check the jp posts, nor did i scour the profiles of other western artists because even if they probably draw her while thinking she's a girl, i am far too lazy to do that.
There is no need to change anything at all. Once we start getting into the weeds of artist intent based on their descriptions, instead of the actual art presented, then it opens up an endless lineup of jars that can't ever be closed. Whataboutism is a disease and it's contagious. It'll hurt every character at some point and make some tags mere suggestions in the end. I'd rather not risk destabilize the currently very stable tagging system for no reason.

The actual art presented is a character who is a girl, looks like a girl, and acts like a girl. If tag what you see was to be the golden rule, this discussion would never have needed to happen and the tags would be changed to female

+1 for safebooru and generally more acceptance in a lot of sites.
Also for those wondering, Pixiv is also making the change (slowly albeit) to be more inclusive. Which kinda make the argument "but Pixiv..." fall apart.Little edit :
Yes, even Japanese websites and mentality do change towards inclusiveness.
Pixiv definitely didn't change anything about this.
