Very sketchy linework. Lambdadelta’s mouth is just freaky.

Sorry to sound a bit rude, but the reasoning you are stating makes no sense whatsoever. This official illustration meets the conditions in Danbooru (I have read the forum rules whats acceptable and what isn't). If we base things on ''it is a very sketchy linework'' than that already contradicts many approved images (aka thousands of images) that exist within Danbooru and those who should already been deleted by this reason alone (fun fact: there even exist a whole tag for ''sketch/sketchy'' within Danbooru). Secondly, ''freakyness'' shouldn't be a reason why an artwork cannot be accepted. As I stated previously, there are thousand of artworks that have the same amount of ''freakyness'' (meanwhile it doesn't even look freaky at all). This sounds or basically is more like a personal appealing why it wasn't approved rather than following the forum rules.

I am rather baffled that it gets approved once for the quality, but suddenly it gets flagged by someone else because of ''personal'' preferences. It would be rather strange to decline an artwork as such (who has many artworks accepted in here with the same amount of quality and ''freakyness'').

I had like someone else take a look into this and consider it.

I know. I’ve been on Danbooru for a while. ;)

Alright, let me rephrase that into “is just bad”.

You got that right. The approval process is inherently subjective, so I can only give you the reason why I didn’t approve it (plus maybe a guess why others didn’t like it either). Please read about:mod_queue if you haven’t done so yet.

Danbooru has several approvers to even things out, but even then some users are not satisfied with that. It has been discussed a thousand times already and will not be changed. Please deal with it.

I had like someone else take a look into this and consider it.

I was about to suggest to use the appeal feature, but I see you’ve already done that.

Btw, as long as it says “It has been reviewed by ✘ approvers.” above the post, it will not be shown again to those approvers when you appeal it. Only everyone who has not voted on it yet will get to see it again, unless you wait until the message disappears after about one month.

At least you are being honest with your replies. That being said, thank you for your quick reply and the latter information you provided about the ''appealing'' function. I appreciate it.

There is one more genuine/curious question regarding to ''approving'' and ''rules'' but I feel like this is not the right thread to ask. Are there any threads in Danbooru where I can ask for specific question(s) or perhaps PM questions to moderators (if an option as such exist within Danbooru)?

You can join Discord, that's generally the easiest way to ask questions.

post #4685782 is an official variation of post #4609396. I believe they are of good quality and different enough to warrant two posts. However, post #4685782 was not approved. When I appealed, for 3 days the number of approvers that had reviewed this image never went up, so I assume no new reviewer took a look at it.

Can anyone give it a second chance? Thanks.

When you appeal something, it won't show it to approvers who already responded within the last month. Approvers don't need to respond with "did not like", they can just skip it and they still won't be shown it.

Thanks for the explanation. And I see it's now approved.

I don't really get why post #4695055 wasn't approved it wasn't because of the art any sketchy lines or anything like that atleast I don't think it was because of anything like that so why was it not approved ?

Also thank you Cormac for the feedback

Provence approved your post! Have a wonderful day!

Hello, i hope you're having a wonderful day! Can Someone please tell me more about why these were not accepted? so i can learn more on what to keep an eye out for.

My guesses:

1. First rejection might have just been because it's not cute enough or it got missed. It had a lower chance the second time because it was appealed within a day, as disapprovals are purged after one month, so if you are appealing a post uploaded or already appealed less than one month ago the appeal will not be shown again to approvers who have already disapproved it.

2. Got missed or bad proportions / perspective, if I had to guess. It's hard to tell with the clothing, but the legs should probably be bigger. Looks a bit weird.

3. Excellent detail but poor anatomy, I think.

So, I uploaded post #4688522 which is uncensored version of post #3898215 and it was deleted for "bad source". Indeed, the source was bad. The actual source is reddit post, the image was uncensored using some AI-powered software, so I updated source and added third-party_edit tag. Can it be approved now?

The source is still wrong. The dimensions don't match, the filesize doesn't match, the md5 definitely doesn't match. The correct link to use would have been to the tweet you got the image from. Nonetheless, third-party edits such as decensors are generally not allowed on Danbooru. Even if the source was right, it probably wouldn't get approved for that reason.

1. Bad face (eye placement?), raised arm, and thumb placement on extended arm.
2. Bad anatomy/perspective/proportions. The legs just vanish under the skirt and don’t really fit with the rest of the body.
3. Can’t really explain why, but anatomy/pose looks strange.

No. Third-party edits are severely frowned upon.

New user here, artist myself who wants to share my art. Got my first post not approved, and am trying to understand why. It's my own work obviously, and I do find it to the very least in line with the expectations of quality of this platform. So I am somewhat at a loss of how to proceed, besides I am gonna appeal.

Also do let me know if I should share something like, the image link but dunno if I can, considering if it was deleted I dunno if you guys could see any link I shared.
