Heh, every time we've had a change to voting something like this seems to happen. Albert's always been able to fix this though, so make a trac ticket if someone else hasn't already. At least it's not like the time where favoriting and then upvoting reset a score to zero.

The favorite tags, I dunno if it's supposed to work this way but, when I look at someone else's favorite tag, they're identical to mine.

I'm having the same issue. Everyone's favorite tag sections were blank until I edited my own, in which case, my favorite tags displayed on every profile I viewed. Not intentional, right?

Oh, to those having issues with the hotkey for submitting on Firefox. Because of the way the browser works with accessibility keys, you have to use ALT+SHIFT+S. That should work.

Ah. Thanks.

It's doing that for me too, in both Firefox 3 and IE 7. If I'm not logged in, everybody's Favorite Tags are blank and if I'm logged in, it shows mine instead.

Yeah this gets annoying. And I find myself hardly using autocomplete. Maybe I'll revert it.

The undoing of all previous votes has done wonders to an order:score search, as I'm sure you're all aware. I like it.

36.7% of all non-deleted posts now have a score of 0 or lower. In other words, priv+ users don't give a shit about just over 1/3 of the images posted on the site. Sounds about right to me.

post #181643 now has a score of 8. This scares and confuses me.

I really doubt it's not that priv+ don't care it's more like nobody wants to go back and re-upvote all the old posts they didn't feel like marking as favorite but still liked, at least that's how it is for me, especially if it ends up being decided to abandon the new system.

I use my favourites as a private pool of posts that needs further/more specific tagging. Everything I do like is voted up and saved. So there is stuff I care about I just don't handle it with favourites.

@Log: Yes, that is obviously true. Logic failure on my part.

Hm, I'm regretting the change. It works for new posts, but old posts are extremely disorganized. I had two posts get negative ratings in the past and they now have higher scores than some of my posts that used to have scores of 30+.

I think it was a good thing, and though really old posts will probably never get sorted back completely properly, they aren't badly ordered now since it removed old bad biases.

New posts are being scored much better than before IMHO.

My thoughts on the results of the changes have varied, but I think I've come to a conclusion.

Day 1: "The bustling, chaotic site activity is completely gone now. This just doesn't feel right to me at all."

Day 2: "Site activity is down, but at least better material is getting noticed." *searches* "Wow, never noticed that post before."

Day 3: "...I don't ever want to go back."

All jokes aside, the changes can stay.

No, the former -200 score it had before was the real score abuse that needed to be stopped.

- Autocomplete has been reverted, and pressing enter in the tag box submits the form again.
- Upgraded to Rails 2.3. There are some strange issues with cookies so tag blacklists are broken until I can spend some time tomorrow taking a deeper look.
- You can now search for posts you've upvoted/downvoted using the voteup and votedown metatags. Example: voteup:albert
- Several mass assignment vulnerabilities have been fixed.
- Various issues with recent tags have been fixed. Order is Most Recently Used again, and the limit is at 25.

But this completely removes the point of anonymous voting! Please change it back immediately!

EDIT: Let me explain further that it might create beef between users. Its never good to see who's upvoting or downvoting you.
