I understand that explicit posts generally get higher ratings. What I'm asking for is an example of a terrible explicit image getting a higher rating than an objectively better one.

Crap (61 favorites): post #407903
Well-drawn (32 favorites): post #412768

I could probably find a better case of what you are requesting, but this is the first example I found that somewhat conveys a mediocre image surpassing a decently-drawn picture.

Yeah, tag history is traceable and reversible, albeit with some amount of tedious manual labor. Votes are not. Not that I'm necessarily saying I agree or disagree with the change, but that is the difference between tagging and voting.

20 Well drawn.

Hah. Sometimes that does seem true.

I'm not sure if this was already suggested regarding the voting thing, but would it be a good idea to have 2 separate fields that show both the up votes and the down votes? Something like this:

Approve(+): random #
Disapprove(-): random #

Erm...the yuri images from gununu_(pixiv) were drawn rather poorly, and yet made it to the most popular images section every time.

On this one I'll say that they're both more or less equal with the exception of the style and theme which aren't main stream. But yeah I get what you're saying.

Should removing something as a favourite be -2 on the score?
Cause when you add it again, it's +2, though, on my first day since the change I've noticed that sometimes it's -1 and +2.

So far, the new system is appearing to be fair.

No it's not intentional. I'm sure albert is working on it (a couple people mentioned it), although making a trac if one doesn't exist would be good too.

The thing is, I checked it out on one of my own uploads, which had a score of 0 after the new system got in. Removing it as a favourite put it to -1, but adding it again set it to +1.

Now, I don't want to push my uploads' score, I was just curious there.

1 2 3 4 5 6
