Yeah, I noticed this as well. If there's enough interest in that, an issue could be filed for it (again).
In the meantime, I created some CSS in forum #151322 which gives a search bar the entire length of the screen for those that want one.

But it doesn't show any tag. The tag text field is empty.

If you check out your tag changes report, you’ll notice that commentary_request was added to many of your uploads. My guess is that meta tags are filtered out when sending those notifications but there’s no check to not send the notification if nothing remains after removing meta tags.
At any rate, remember to add the commentary_request tag to your uploads when you include untranslated artist commentary.

Ah, i thought Commentary Request was for missing commentaries. My bad. Thank you for your help!

It wouldn't seem to be the lack of comments though, as brand new posts still get the "Reccomended" section (e.g. post #3293722). I can definitely replicate it not appearing on that post you mention though, and it's a pretty new post itself, and not before the (I think) two calendar year threshold before which it doesn't get added for consideration.

Actually, you just found another criteria.
Images posted by Albert mostly seem to have the button appear, though there are 2 exceptions so far. post #3293780 & post #3293603
If you go to a recent image that isn't posted by albert and doesn't have a child/parent, or comment, the button won't appear.
So I should announce that I've been adding more user tracking on the site so I can have better metrics about how people use Danbooru. It's opt-in by default but if you don't want your search habits being sent anywhere, you can go to your user preferences and enable "Opt Out Mixpanel".
