PSDs and PDFs

I just created the PSD available and PDF available wikis for how to handle these nonuploadable image filetypes. This topic will serve as a placeholder which I'll add to the wikis for if anyone has any questions.

It should be noted that the converted files should be in a lossless format like PNG unless it can't go under the 30 MB filesize limit even with optimization.

Also, if we know of a PSD or PDF that was uploaded as a JPG/GIF or had some other error, how should we handle reuploading...? Redo the conversion, upload it to a image sharing site, then post it in a thread...? And should we use this thread...?

If it was uploaded as a GIF, JPEG, or lower resolution PNG, I'd say reupload. I'm not sure what you mean by errors though. Do you mean artistic errors or revisions?

And yes, this thread could be of use for taking note of such cases.

Yeah all of the above, but I was also thinking of image conversion errors. For instance, the PDFs in pool #7425 require cropping to look halfway decent. One time I was a bit off-center in the margins (post #1585651), but it wasn't noticeable at all since the white background of Danbooru blends with the white background of the comic, so I never bothered with reuploading.

In that case, you might want to ask an approver to replace the image with a fixed one.
