Site update (2017.04.19 - 2017.04.20)
Changes
  • A Desktop version link was added to the footer for mobile users. This switches back to the desktop layout.

Doesn't work. As soon as I open another post, mobile aberration is back.

Regardless, my main issue is being unable to favorite posts in mobile layout. Is the button hidden or it's just impossible?

As a final note, instead of a mobile layout, try an native app; That would be well received for sure.

Can't seem to upload MP4 for some reason. Tried uploading from both the bookmarklet and from my computer, but it doesn't work.

An error occurred: error: RuntimeError - invalid content type (only JPEG, PNG, GIF, SWF, MP4, and WebM files are allowed)

Make sure you don't have anything that would block cookies.

The button is currently hidden. I posted some custom CSS in forum #130006 that unhides it.

See topic #13064. I haven't tried any of them so I can't vouch for them.

Post a link. Probably the file type detection isn't detecting it properly.

Sure thing, I'm trying to upload this and here's what I get:

Is it possible to make the desktop button redirect back to the page you were on instead of the main page? The mobile keeps switching back to the mobile site quite often and then and it's annoying having to copy the page I'm on press desktop site, paste page, then repeat a few pages later.

Or even better, a button to disable the mobile abomination permanently in options or something

@evazion Thanks for the reply, I'm going to look at those.

Also, when I switch to landscape the site is back to normal so I've been using that as a workaround. My device resolution is 1920x1200 so even in portrait mode the css shoud've stayed the same.

In case it helps with debugging, I'm using Opera on a KitKat tablet.

That would be better. I'll make a note of it in issue #2549.

The desktop version link should be permanent. At least, permanent up until your cookies are deleted. It sounds like you have something clearing your cookies.

The mobile layout kicks in when your screen is <660px wide. But a device's physical dimensions and its CSS dimensions are two different things. Your device is 1920x1200 but I'm guessing it uses dimensions of 960x600 for CSS purposes, which would be wide enough to use the desktop layout in landscape mode.

I don't know about anyone else but as long as keep my internet browser running it stays on the desktop version, even if it's just running in the background. But if I shut down all programs running in the background, it will return to the mobile version next time I start the browser up and refresh my tab/visit a new page. I don't really mind since it's easy enough for me to change it back, I hope I explained it well.

Desktop Mode is just a session cookie, so when you close your browser, the cookie disappears.

I just got a message from @DanbooruBot saying that someone mentioned me in a comment and the message looks something like this:

@User mentioned you in a comment on post #something:

Stuff the user said.

[/quote]

It seems another "/quote" got written before the message. I don't get mentioned much, so I don't know if is this something that happened to all messages or if it's a unique case. Did anyone else get this?

I got @ mentioned on a forum post ~8 hours ago, and it appeared normally to me, and Danbooru was last update >24 hours ago.

BTW, it helps if you link to the comment # or post # in question for those that want to help. To others that want to investigate, it's comment #1682025 on post #2698799.

As far as the above comment goes, maybe it's catching the [/quote] from before the @mention, which may be screwing up what was sent to you...?

Yeah, it's the [/quote] tag that messed it up. It tries to pick out the paragraph you were mentioned in, plus the preceding paragraph for context, but sometimes that picks up stray dtext tags.

Then why does it say

Subscriptions This feature has been disabled. Migrate your tag subscriptions to saved searches.

on my goddamn profile? If migrating is broken, why does it tell me to do that? I just permanently lost a list of artists to keep track of.
