The first series in Saban's Power Rangers franchise. Largely adapts stock footage from Kyouryuu Sentai Zyuranger (along with newly filmed footage, often referred to as Zyu2), with elements from Gosei Sentai Dairanger and Ninja Sentai Kakuranger being used for the second and third seasons respectively. The third season would also feature a crossover with Saban's Masked Rider, serving as a quasi-backdoor pilot crossover for that show.
Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers, which used footage from Ninja Sentai Kakuranger along with newly filmed footage, followed after its third season, and directly continues from its events; as a result, it is officially considered 'Season 3.5', with Power Rangers Zeo being the first full series after Mighty Morphin and Alien Rangers.
Alongside the Zyuranger and Kakuranger suits used, it also debuted the first original Ranger suits in the form of the Dark Rangers from the second season and the Ninja Rangers from the third, the latter based on the costumes used for the Ninjetti-powered Rangers in The Movie.
