hades (mythology)
In Greek mythology, Hades is the god of the underworld and one of the three major gods, alongsides his younger brother Poseidon and Zeus. His realm is Tartarus, a realm where the dead resided in the afterlife.
Due to his association with the underworld (often misinterpretated as hell), Hades is usually protrayed as an evil character in popular culture. Albeit his mythological counterpart usually prefer to distance himself from the chaos of the Olympian gods and mostly resides within his realm. With a notable exception being when he kidnapped his future wife Persephone into the underworld.
