The name given to the second, succeeding generation design of the Hi-Point C-9, decided by way of an online contest. The "YC" stands for "Yeet Cannon", meant to represent the meme status of Hi-Point's weaponry among firearms enthusiasts.
The naming contest generated a significant amount of controversy when Hi-Point did not include the name among the list of finalists, until pressure from social media and even Heckler & Koch (who even promised to do a collaborative photoshoot with them and their new gun, bringing a Mark 23 specifically marked as the YC-45) finally forced them to give in. The name "YC-9" was pitted against the other finalists and ultimately won, with the new YC-9 set to release in late 2019, with a special C-9 YCG1 being sold to commemorate the occasion.
