The first, and original installment in the series, a winter 2011 anime series animated by Shaft, with character designs by Aoki Ume and written by Urobuchi Gen.
14-year-old Kaname Madoka was approached by a mysterious creature named Kyubey, who offers her a pact to become a magical girl who fights Witches, creatures born from darkness responsible for murders and suicides in her home city - all the while learning the deeper, darker secrets behind her mission.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Movie 1 & 2
Adaptations of the original 2011 anime, released in October 2012, titled Beginnings and Eternal. Most notable for Beginnings' theme song, Luminous and certain design changes, such as adding a fortissimo hair ornament to Miki Sayaka's Magical Girl form.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Manga
A manga adaptation of the 2011 anime, released in 2011, illustrated by Hanokage. Featured certain changes, such as Soul Gems being pink for all characters, and minor plot divergences.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Novel
A novel adaptation of the 2011 anime, released in 2011. Written by the member of Nitro+, Ninomae Hajime, and illustrated by Yuupon.
Mahou Shoujo Kazumi Magica
Manga series written by Hiramatsu Masaki and illustrated by Tensugi Takashi, serialized in Manga Time Kirara Forward; and the first spinoff. Released from 2011 to 2012.
Follows the story of Kazumi, who found herself amnesiac after she was kidnapped.
Mahou Shoujo Oriko Magica
The second spin-off manga of Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, created by Mura Kuroe with draft by Magica Quartet, published by Houbunsha. Released in 2011.
Follows the story of Mikuni Oriko, a Magical Girl with the power of foresight.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Mobage
Madoka Magica's first mobile game, released in 2011. It met its end of service in 2012.
It featured new costumes and storylines focusing on the anime's cast, as well as four new characters.

A 2012 game released for PlayStation Portable.
Notable for first introducing the main cast's Witch forms.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Plus
Madoka Magica's second mobile game, released in 2012. It met its end of service in 2015.
It featured a plethora of cards with costumes for the anime's cast, and later down the line, Momoe Nagisa as well.

Madoka Magica's own bimonthly manga magazine, which ran from 2012 to 2017 for 30 volumes.

The series' third major spinoff, released from 2013 to 2017 in Manga Time Kirara Magica.
Set in medieval France, it is focused on the story of a Magical Girl version of Jeanne d'Arc.
Mahou Shoujo Suzune Magica
The series' fourth major spinoff, released from 2013 to 2014 - originally as a standalone release, then in Manga Time Kirara Forward.
Focusing on Amano Suzune, a Magical Girl who hunts both other Magical Girls and Witches.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica: Concept Movie
First shown during the Madogatari exhibition in 2015, this short "movie" showcased concepts for future installments after Rebellion.
Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Gaiden
Madoka Magica's mobile gacha game released in 2017, that later got a stage play adaptation in 2018, two manga adaptations in 2018 and 2019, and an anime, which was released from 2019 to 2021. Service ended mid-2024.
The game primarily features an original cast, with Tamaki Iroha as its protagonist, though characters from the 2011 anime and other spin-offs also appear.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica: Walpurgis no Kaiten
Continuation to Rebellion announced in 2021. The movie is set to release in winter 2025.
Null Mahou Shoujo
A spin-off light novel released in the 10th Anniversary Book in 2021.
Focuses on Kiriha Kosane, a 24 year old woman who couldn't have become a Magical Girl, as she lacks both a brain and a soul.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Magia Exedra
Announced along with the end of service for Magia Record in 2024. Details pending.
