The Bergmann–Bayard was a German-designed semi-automatic pistol produced under license in Belgium, designed by Theodor Bergmann. The handgun came in several variants, such as:
Bergmann Mars - Produced in produced in 1901. It was the first Bergmann design aimed squarely at the military market, firing 9×23mm Largo round.
Model 1903 - Was adopted by the Spanish Army in 1905 as the Pistola Bergmann de 9 mm. modelo 1903.
Model 1910 and Model 1910/21 - The pistol was produced in Belgium until 1914, later produced in Denmark from 1922 to 1935. It has several modifications and improvements to the original design.
