A set of seventeen (possibly eighteen) varied, generally antagonistic, very powerful and very bizarre looking alienbeings in Neon Genesis Evangelion.
In real life they serve as monster of the week for the original animated TV series. Most of their designs are based in the original scary and very bizarre depictions of Angels in the ChristianBible. As the series progresses it is revealed that the Angels are artificially engineered lifeforms created by ancient intelligent alien beings to become the top dominating species in the different inhabited planets of our galaxy.
A large, pudgy, white being with a seven-eyed mask over its face and a lower body composed of several human-sized (lower) bodies, crucified to a red cross by the Lance of Longinus.
If the Lance is not present, then the lower body may feature full legs, but still with smaller bodies poking out.
A form of Ayanami Rei, marked by being giant, naked, white, and winged; sometimes seen as large body parts in the background, most notably a giant face.
