An American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1992. The band was founded by lead vocalist and guitarist Rivers Cuomo, alongside former bassist Matt Sharp, drummer Patrick Wilson, and former member Jason Cropper. Weezer gained popularity in the mid-1990s with their self-titled debut album, often referred to as the "Blue Album," which featured hit songs like "Buddy Holly," "Undone - The Sweater Song," and "Say It Ain't So."
Known for their catchy melodies, power-pop hooks, and a mix of alternative and pop-rock sound, Weezer has released several successful albums over the years.
