A Japanese animation studio founded in 1975 by Wakao Hiroshi and currently headed by Mitsuboshi Kubota.
Primarily known for its use of bright, vivid art direction, memorable OP and ED sequences, numerous sight gags, and anime and cultural references in most of its shows, which are usually helmed by directors Shinbou Akiyuki, Oishi Tatsuya, and Oonuma Shin.
