Battleship Yashima
Yashima was the second Fuji-class battleship and was completed in 1897 at the Elswick shipyard of Armstrong in England. "Yashima" is named after one of the archaic name of Japan.
The Yashima was classified as a first-class battleship in 1898 and participated in the Russo-Japanese War, but struck a mine outside Port Arthur on May 15, 1904 and sank. The third photo depicts the sinking of Yashima.
