100th Black Market
Marisa Kirisame has a habit of collecting things. Her house is full to the brim with all kinds of things, ranging from magic items to literal junk. Recently, she's found something new to collect, and what little space remains in her house is quickly being filled. "Boy, all these cards I bought at the black market―I mean, purchased for research purposes, sure are great," she smirked as she gazed up at her newest Ability Cards. Memories of battles against bulletphiles came flooding back to her. There were countless Ability Cards in her house, each with a story to go along with them. What do you say we take a look around?
Marisa's Black Market Outfit If nothing else, the outfit hanging behind Marisa was certainly unique. It was made up of items she collected at the black market. There was Koishi's Pebble Hat, Misumaru's Ancient Magatama, and in place of a cape, Seija's Nimble Fabric. It also contained the very first item she got her hands on after starting to collect Ability Cards―Nazrin's pendulum. What was it called again? ...Oh, yeah. "Money Comes and Goes On its Own." Marisa won the pendulum by defeating a maneki-neko, and as she continued to admire her new Ability Cards, she tried to recall how she'd won the other items in the outfit. On the shelf behind her sat Mike's Maneki-neko with Good Business Skills. Perhaps it was to thank for Marisa's latest haul of rare cards.
An Extensive Collection Many of the items Marisa got from the black market were placed around her house as if they'd never belonged to anyone else. Byakuren's Sutra of Dharmatic Power was displayed on the wall like a hanging scroll and the colorful plates next to them were actually Futo's Dragon's Passage. Hidden on the desk among Marisa's experiment equipment were Eirin's Life Explosion Elixir and Tsukasa's Spirit Power Sample Bottle. Above them sat Kutaka's Too-Honest Signpost. "There's so much great stuff in here," said Marisa, a smile spreading across her face. She glanced over at her familiar dolls and magic books and thought to herself, "I don't need to give them back. After all, they're Ability Cards."
Familiar Finds When Marisa ran out of room on the walls and on her desk, she simply began putting things on the floor. Unsurprisingly, that means there's now barely any room to move around on account of all the Ability Cards. If you look closely, you'll see Sakuya's knives on the wall and many of Sanae's omamori on the shelf. On the floor, Reimu's Yin-Yang Orb (Needle), which is supposedly great for pressure-point massages, is joined by Doremy's soft and fluffy Sheep You Want to Count. Between them stands Keiki's Idol Defense Corps, which looks remarkably like Mayumi, don't you think? Back up on the desk, you'll find Shanghai Doll and Narumi's Physical Enhancement Jizo. And the to left of them... "Huh. The dolls in these cups look just like me and Reimu."
Come to think of it, the god of markets didn't seem to have much fun at the black market, which is a true shame. That said, Marisa was grateful that she gave her the super powerful Blank Card and for telling her about her collaborator, Nitori. "I battled Nitori in the end, too, huh?" chuckled Marisa, as she turned her eyes to Nitori's purse, Miser's Advice, and then to her Capitalist's Dilemma card. Directly below, the mastermind behind the black market, Takane's Hundredth Black Market was also on display―after all, it was part of her collection. Just then, Marisa realized that the real 100th black market must be about to start. "I gotta get a move on!" she cried, weaving past all the things on her floor toward the door. From there, she made her way to the secret yet lively black market.
