大蜘蛛を斬ったという刀で人を斬り捨て、
怪物を退治したという剣で命を奪う。
おおらかな昔話は過去のもので、
私はこの刀を、人の血で汚し続けている。
ほんの少し、祖に申し訳ないという気持ちと。
折角であれば、もっともっと切れ味の良い刀で
あって欲しかった。
いやいや贅沢は申しません、私が望むのは、
一振りで百人の首級を頂戴できる程度の魔剣。
何しろほら、一人一人など時間の浪費なので。

The sword that beheaded the Earth Spider and exterminated monsters now slays men and steals lives.
