Not quite accurate to canon: she didn't have the ability to read someone's desires until her revival as a saintBut it seems like she has issues fully understanding people like the half-human half-ghost Youmu, as she lacks the desire for death and the desire for life, as well as Komeiji Koishi, who closed off her heart
This led to Miko believing that Youmu was also a taoist hermit, which, in turn (and hilariously) led Youmu to believe that she had been a taoist hermit all along.Huuuh...
