The Dunbine And The Ferario
"You saw a black Virunvee at the lake? And it's trampling over our cavalry!? So the Black Eagle Baron has finally resorted to violence, eh? I'll settle matters once and for all today!"
■ The territorial dispute between the archduke and the baron over the abundant water supply of Lake Maggiore had finally escalated from a skirmish between cavalry to an all-out war including Aura Battlers... However, at the time, the baron's forces had actually been deployed far behind Lake Maggiore to observe the archduke's next step. The baron had decided to deploy the Virunvee after receiving word that the Dunbine had made its way to the lake, and the battle between Aura Battlers had broken out as a result.
The battle ended in a draw on account of injuries on both sides (both men were afraid of losing their valuable Aura Battlers) and the war came to an abrupt end with Lake Maggiore being declared a buffer zone belonging to neither party.
Having lost the means to gain military control, the archduke and the baron had no choice but to implement trade agreements with a powerful local figure. They say that when the two men visited the lake where the negotiations were to be held, they were met by that smiling ferario.
[Note: She was the very lake Mi Ferario who had provided the false information to the archduke.]
