A Love So Tender
At times the wind is gentle, barely strong enough to rustle her hairpin; at times it is powerful enough to gouge the earth out from under her feet. Humans are powerless against the changing tides of nature. "Won't you please hear my wish?" She murmurs these words under breath, but leaves the rest unuttered. To protect the people I love and the land on which they live, I will live on as the Vessel of Purification. Even should this duty I charge upon myself be a sin against the laws of nature, so let it be. (Emmel's Resolution)
