The translation konnyaku (Translation Gummy in English) is a gadget in Doraemon that's basically a piece of konnyaku (a sort of jelly-like food item) that makes you capable of understanding and speaking all languages upon eating it. The name is a pun: translation is said as "hon'yaku", therefore: "hon'yaku konnyaku".
