My last picture of the year. Watching Frieren made me think about how Monika would have lived beyond the player and wonder how lonely that would have been. The concept of immortality is cruel. Seeing everyone you care about pass away will either make you miserable all the time or became so accustomed to it that you don't feel any grief anymore. Either way, it is sad to think about Monika, a character so devoted to the player, being in both situations.
